Join Us For Our 2017 Walters and Wolf Summer Picnic!

You and your family are invited to a fun-filled day at our annual Summer Picnic. Whether it's Carnival Games,  Zorb Ball Races, Zip Line, 70' Obstacle Course, Ladder Climb, face & body art, swimming, or rocking out to the live band... there will be a variety of activities for the young or simply young at heart! No day is complete without great food and that's why you will be treated to only the best. A culinary chef will prepare mouthwatering tri-tip in the smoker BBQ for the richest flavor and delicious grilled chicken cooked to perfection. Tasty treats such as snow cones & cotton candy will keep you fueled up for all the excitement throughout the day. Getting to the Ranch at Little Hills: From the Peninsula:
  1. Take San Mateo Bridge
  2. Go North on I-880
  3. Take I-238 to I-580 toward Stockton
  4. Exit on Center Street/Crow Canyon – Follow signs for Crow Canyon Rd.
  5. Follow Crow Canyon for 8-10 miles until Bollinger Canyon Rd (Stoplight).
  6. Continue on Bollinger for 3.8 miles, The Ranch at Little Hills will be on your left.
From Marin (Richmond/San Rafael Bridge):
  1. Take I-580 to 24 East; go through the Caldecott Tunnel
  2. At the 24/680 split take I-680 South
  3. Exit on Crow Canyon Road and turn right (west).
  4. Follow Crow Canyon and turn right onto Bollinger Canyon Road.
  5. Continue on Bollinger for 3.8 miles, The Ranch at Little Hills will be on your left.
From San Jose/South Bay:
  1. Take I-680 North approximately 35 miles.
  2. Exit on Crow Canyon Road and turn left (west).
  3. Follow Crow Canyon and turn right onto Bollinger Canyon Road.
  4. Continue on Bollinger for 3.8 miles, The Ranch at Little Hills will be on your left.
From San Francisco:
  1. Take I-580 to 24 East (far right lane) and go through the Caldecott Tunnel.
  2. At the 24/680 split, take I-680 South.
  3. Exit on Crow Canyon Road and turn right (west).
  4. Follow Crow Canyon and turn right onto Bollinger Canyon Road.

From Walnut Creek:

Do’s and Don’ts for a Perfect Picnic

Do’s!
  • Wear sunscreen – even cloudy days can lead to sunburn.
  • Bring a towel and a change of clothes if going in the pool.
  • Wear close toed shoes if you are going to climb the rock wall.
  • Bring your appetite – we have plenty of delicious food to enjoy!
  • Be prepared there is NO CELLULAR SERVICE or WI-FI in the park. A land line can be made available to you in the event of an emergency.
  • Be prepared to show ID if you plan to enjoy beer and/or wine. *Don’t forget it in the car!
  • Make a note of which parking lot you are in. A tram service will be provided for your convenience to and from the park, but you don’t want to lose your car!
  • Assign a designated driver if you plan on consuming any alcoholic beverages. Stay safe and enjoy your day!
  • Pay attention to signage around the park – it is there to help you.
  • Feel free to ask The Ranch at Little Hills staff if you have any questions or want to know what is coming up next!
Don’ts!
  • Forget to check in to receive your wristbands. These are your ticket for lunch and you definitely don’t want to miss it!
  • Bring any pets into the park. It isn’t fun for them to come – there are too many people, smells, wild animals around and activities going on. Anyone with a pet will be asked to take it home before entering into the park.
  • Please note that service animals are welcome into the park. An identifying harness is required.
  • Smoke in the park, including vaping. There is a designated smoking section just down the path in the parking lot.
  • Forget to bring your swim attire if you plan to go swimming. No street clothes are allowed in the pool at all.
  • Bring any food or alcohol into the park. Bringing in reusable water bottles is fine.
  • Forget signed waivers are required for each guest when participating in the rock wall and the archery range. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver. The waivers will be made available at the activity areas.
  • Don’t flush anything but toilet paper and waste down the toilets. There are garbage receptacles readily available for everything else.
  • Don’t hike too far on the paths. There is poison oak and we don’t want anyone getting it! Please follow the signage.
Pool Rules at The Ranch at Little Hills:
  • Swim attire is required. No cut-off shorts, tank tops, shirts, or street clothes allowed.swimmingpool
  • No diving. You may jump into the pool from the edge only.No running on the pool deck.
  • No pool toys, including water wings, are allowed in the pool. Life vests are welcome.
  • No rough play or dunking other swimmers.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained.
  • No glass, smoking, or food allowed in the pool.
  • Capacity limit of 120 will be enforced on busy days.
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to dismiss any swimmer.
  • Persons having currently active diarrhea or who have had active diarrhea within the previous 14 days shall not be allowed to enter the pool water.
